Eric Mia, CPA, CA
After practicing for over 10 years in small and large public accounting firms, Eric founded Emblyn Professional Corporation in 2023 to further his advancement as an accounting professional and entrepreneur. Eric takes pride in providing leading edge tax, accounting, and advisory services, while delivering superior customer service. Eric is a tax specialist by trade, enabling him to provide a variety of tax planning and compliance services for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts and estates.
Eric enjoys getting to know his clients and building trusting relationships. This enables him to provide a service customized to specific needs and challenges.
Outside of work you will find Eric at the hockey rink, cycling, and spending time with his family.
Bobby Sliter, CPA, MAcc
At Emblyn, Bobby assists clients in navigating compliance and developing practical solutions in governance, management, strategic planning, corporate finance, and training. His background spans both industry and public practice, with experience in accounting operations, financial reporting and analysis, process improvement, and assurance across major North American standards, including ASPE, IFRS, US GAAP, and ASNPO. Bobby has worked with organizations ranging from non-profits to public companies to private enterprises in sectors such as technology, construction, and healthcare.
In 2024, Bobby served as CFO of a mid-sized construction and manufacturing company, leading its ERP implementation, transitioning its accounting standards to ASPE, and preparing financial reporting that supported a successful company sale. Bobby now brings this combined experience to help clients solve complex accounting and business challenges with clarity and confidence.
Heather Rivington
Heather is the dedicated Office Manager at our firm, bringing over a decade of experience in administration and client service to the team. She oversees daily operations, including client onboarding, billing, and client support. Heather focuses on fostering a positive, responsive environment for both staff and clients, ensuring that our operation runs seamlessly. When not at the office, you can find Heather at the cottage, reading, and chasing her two toddlers.
